There are many ways to make the old stand by side dishes Gluten Free! Depending on how your mom or grandma made green bean casserole you either love it or hate it. I personally love it, especially with the fried onions on top! Now that I’m Gluten Free I just made a few adjustments and here you go – Gluten Free Green Bean Casserole.
What You Need:
– 2 jars of green beans, drained
– 1/4 cup chopped onions
– 1 tbsp butter
– 3/4 cup sour cream
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp sugar
– 1 cup cheddar cheese
How to Make It:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a skillet over medium heat melt the butter and cook the onions for about 5 minutes. Add salt, sugar, sour cream and beans. Mix together and put in 8×8 casserole dish. Cover with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
This is super tasty! The sauce is a little thin so you could always add about 1 tbsp GF flour to the butter in the beginning to thicken it up.
This ones a keeper!
