The average store or restaurant soy sauce has wheat in the first 3 ingredients. This means one – it isn’t Gluten Free and two – it isn’t real soy sauce!
Gluten Free soy sauce is one of the first condiments that I purchased when I first went Gluten Free. I was pumped when a marketing company sent me a bottle of San-J Tamari Gluten Free Soy Sauce to review in honor of Celiac Awareness month! One of my favorite sauces!
First – it is REAL soy sauce
Second – it is certified Gluten Free!
The company doesn’t just make Gluten Free Soy Sauce they also make Asian Cooking Sauces, Salad Dressing, and Rice Crackers.
My most frequent use for the soy sauce is for Chinese take out or I carry it with me to restaurants. If we are going out to eat and going to be getting Asian food I take a little container of it with me! I order my meal without sauce and add my GF soy sauce!
Steamed Chicken and Veggies (no sauce) then I add Tamari! |
I have also used the sauce as a marinade for chicken and with my chicken fried rice.
Since it is REAL soy sauce be aware that you don’t need to use as much as you normally would of the other brands. A little goes a long way!
Enjoy!
