It has been another full, crazy week here in NC. It has also been 100 degrees or higher the past 2 days and will be that hot into next week. Way too hot for this girl! Does anyone have any nice summer recipes to share?
Now that the twins have added solid foods to their daily routine I have been busy making a TON of baby food! Everything from green beans, plums, bananas, avocado to cauliflower. It takes a bit of work but it worth it in the end. And it is all Gluten Free of course!
I received a box full of fresh green beans and squash from a friend with a garden. Confession: I have never cooked fresh green beans, never snapped them, never. My hubby calls be a city girl! I cooked part of them for the babies, cooked some for us using this recipe and blanched the rest to freeze for later.
Blogger Spotlight – I recently connected with blogger Jenni from Spoonful at a Time! She is a local NC blogger who has great recipes and reviews. I was honored to be listed in her blog post Friday.
Gluten Free Event – August 12th is the Gluten Free Expo in Raleigh. Mark your calendars!

It’s very hot here in Nebraska too. We’ve been enjoying almond milk smoothies to help keep cool š They are our new ice cream since we gave up dairy. Don’t you love fresh green beans? I think they taste so much better than the canned.
