Hitting the Gym with a Hoo Rag

I have a new love and it happens at 5:30am!  We joined the local Y and my goal is to be there three mornings a week.  I’m not a run outside when it is cold kind of girl and I have a couple races in the Spring to train for.   Part of my fun morning trips to the gym include my new Hoo Rag!  The folks at Hoo Rag sent me one to try out.  In case you were wondering a Hoo Rag is a seamless bandana.  It is basically a long, stretchy fabric tube.

As a person with short hair, ponytails aren’t an option for me.  I normally use clips or a headband to keep the hair out of my face when I run.  The Hoo Rag offers lots of options for how to wear it.   I like the “Alice Rag” and “Pirate Rag” looks.

The pattern is called Groovy-Hoo

The material is a stretchy fabric that fits tightly around your head but not so tight that it hurts.  I’ve run with it and it didn’t slip.  I took a core strengthening class and only had to adjust it once.   I have also worn it while I cleaned the house.  It is super comfortable, stays put and keeps my hair out of the way.  To wash it I just throw it in with my work out clothes.

They have a lot of color options for guys and girls plus you can do custom prints.
The website says the Hoo Rags are great for fishing, biking, snowboarding, chefs, and even dogs!

I look forward to many early morning dates with my Hoo Rag at the Y!

By the Way…They have a giveaway going on right now on Instagram if you want to win a free Hoo Rag of your very own!
