So the name for this dish isn’t flashy – sorry. I tried to be creative but things like “yummy dip” and “smack your momma good” just didn’t sound right. This recipe was created after attending a work function filled with food I couldn’t eat. There was a dip similar to this one that looked and smelled great. It was filled with gluten so I was driven to create something that would be just as good.
This is a crock pot dip that would be great for social events as an appetizer. If you are having a large gathering I would suggest doubling the recipe. This dip was so good we didn’t have any left over!
What You Need:
4oz cream cheese
1 cup of cooked chopped chicken – left over rotisserie chicken is perfect
2 tbsp GF ranch dressing
3/4 cup of salsa
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
a dash of hot sauce – add more if you like it spicy
How To Make It:
Put it all in the crock pot on low and cook for 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
Serve with corn chips, GF crackers, veggies or GF bagel chips.
This dip was truly yummy! I can’t wait to have an excuse to make it again. I have plans to add some spinach next time!
