Tweet The GFAF Wellness Event in Austin, TX was a blast! This was my first trip to Texas in over 15 years. The event was filled with amazing Gluten Free Texans and fabulous Gluten Free products! There were items in Texas I’ve never seen at other events.
The people of Texas are so fun! They have such good attitudes and are so welcoming. Got to love the South!
The day was filled with eating, drinking, talking and meeting loads of people! Here are just some of the highlights!
Red Apple Lipstick – You all know I LOVE THIS BRAND! They have Gluten Free, vegan, lead free, soy free, and paraben free cosmetics. They are from Texas so this was a great local event for them. I loaded up on products! I got new eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, Rallye Balm and the lip exfoliate. They even hooked me up with lip gloss to match my hot pink pants!
Tito’s Vodka – Tito’s is a corn-based vodka made in Texas. Wow, it was so smooth and had a great flavor. During the event they were sampling the vodka with a fresh juice punch. They sell it in all 50 States so check your local liqueur store for some.
Freedom Foods – These Aussie’s know how to make good Gluten Free cereal! I first found them in Chicago and fell in love. I bought three boxes in Texas to bring home. I would have bought more but that is all that would fit in my luggage!
Noosa Yoghurt – Noosa is Aussie style yoghurt that is filled with protein. It is a cross between regular yoghurt and greek yoghurt. I was wowed by this brand! They said you can found their yoghurt in many grocery stores as well as Target, so I am on the hunt for some!
Enjoy Life Foods – Samples covered the Enjoy Life Foods table! The new to me product was the Baked Chewy Bars. These have been a big hit in our house with the kids.
Kind Bars – Kind had a number of new flavors available in Austin. I got loaded down with samples to bring home. Currently my purse is filled with the Dark Chocolate, Nuts and Sea Salt. So good!
Leprechaun Hard Cider – This is hard cider like you’ve never had before! This Texas company makes hard cider with nothing but apples grown in Oregon. They don’t add sugar or other fillers. There are actually 80 apples per bottle! The Dry Cider was my favorite and I even grabbed a bottle to bring home.
New Planet Beer – New Planet makes true Gluten Free beer! They were sampling all six of their flavors. I’m not a big beer girl but I did enjoy the Raspberry Ale.
Better Bites Bakery – This awesome bakery creates Gluten Free, vegan, egg free, soy free, corn free, casein free baked goods that ROCK! Their cookie dough ball was mind blowing. Like, stop traffic to eat ten of them! I devoured a brownie on my flight home that tasted like chocolate heaven.
SayCheezz – This company makes brazilian cheese rolls that you just want to pop in your mouth all day. My favorite flavor was the bacon, of course!
Veronica’s Health Crunch – This is a great nut snack to eat on yoghurt, with cereal or on it’s own. I scored a bag to enjoy! The crunch is handmade in small batches. You can tell the care that goes into this yummy product.
If you want to see some videos I created at the event go here.
I hope to see you at the next GFAF Wellness Event in Charlotte, NC March 29th! I will have a table and I will be speaking!
