This past weekend was awesome! It is strange how having 3 days off of work and together with family can feel like a vacation. Friday we stayed home and played with the kiddos at a local museum. Then we cleaned the house for dinner guest. Sometimes I invite people over for dinner just so I have an excuse to clean the house. Anyone else do that?
The menu was all Gluten Free and super yummy!
Appetizer – Spinach Dip using Massell Bouillon, I’ll post the recipe tomorrow. PS it rocked!
Main Dish – Grilled BBQ chicken with Gluten Free for Men sauce, I’ll be doing a giveaway soon for a bottle of this yummy stuff!
Sides – Crock Pot Mac n Cheese and green beans
Dessert – Cookies and Cream cake using Bumbalooza‘s mix, wow is all I can say!
The dinner was a huge success! Our guests loved the meal and were very impressed it was all Gluten Free. Woot!
Saturday was more Easter fun with egg hunts, craft adventures and family time at home.
Sunday we went to church and had a great Easter service. Then we went to Hubby’s family’s house for a big meal. The Gluten Free options were abounding! I filled my plate with food and yes I did fill my plate up first to avoid cross contamination.
I brought ranch potatoes (recipe in my cookbook page 68), GF stuffing and oatmeal cookie sandwiches using Ardenne Farms cookie mix. These were a huge hit and disappeared quickly!
Needless to say it was an epic food weekend. I even made myself go for a 3.5 mile run Saturday to make up for all my eating.
