This awesome Gluten Free recipe is my entry into the Krusteaz Blogger Bake Off. Fingers crossed I win!
Krusteaz is already a household name for baking mixes so when they came out with a line of Gluten Free products I was all over it! They have four new Gluten Free baking mixes for you to enjoy. They include: buttermilk pancake mix, blueberry muffin mix, honey cornbread mix and double chocolate brownie. Our family has loved trying all the new products and experimenting with them.
For my entry into the Krusteaz Blogger Bake Off I decided to make a fun fall recipe that any baker could throw together for a gathering and wow the guests. This Gluten Free recipe is simple to make, does not take any fancy equipment or ingredients to create. When making these yummy brownies I even had the toddlers helping me mix it all together.
Ingredients
- 1 box Krusteaz Double Chocolate Brownie Mix
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup veg oil
- 1 egg
- TOPPING
- 1/3 cup pureed pumpkin
- 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Heat oven to 325 degrees. In a bowl combine the brownie mix according to the box. Combine the Krusteaz brownie mix, water, oil and egg. Pour into a greased 8x8 dish.
- In a separate bowl beat the pumpkin and cream cheese together. Once incorporated add in the sugar, egg, and seasoning. Beat until well mixed.
- Put the pumpkin mixture into a plastic sandwich bag. Cut off one corner and squeeze mixture to corner. Make lines on the top of the brownie mix with the bag filled with the pumpkin mixture. Use a knife to make perpendicular lines with the pumpkin to decorate the brownies.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes. Let cool and serve.
Notes
Feel free to use the pumpkin topping to make any fun design you want! The swirl is super easy and looks really impressive!
Each of the Krusteaz Gluten Free baking mix boxes comes with easy baking instructions and an additional recipe you can make with the product. The morning yogurt cakes on the blueberry muffin box looks super yummy! You can also visit their website for more Gluten Free recipes. If you are more of a visual learner here are two videos of Gluten Free recipes made with the new mixes: Garden Cornbread Muffins and Gluten Free Crackle Cookies.
I hope you enjoy these festive brownies!
Enjoy!
