Happy Celiac Disease Awareness Month!!!!
This is the month where we focus, more than usual, on awareness and education. You can see an awesome video here that you can share with anyone in your life that needs to know more about Celiac Disease.
Over the weekend we visited a new pizza joint that gets Gluten Free! It is called Uncle Maddio’s and it is a chain so there may be one close to you. When I asked for the Gluten Free crust they asked if it was a preference or an allergy. I told him an allergy. He quickly changed his gloves, pulled out the GF crusts and fresh cheese. He also used separate sauce and brand new toppings for our pizzas. And get this, they only cost $8.99 with 3 toppings and the GF crust extra charge! The kiddos and I loved it! They have a kid size crust and a medium size crust. Super impressed with the food and our experience.
Monday and Tuesday of this week I will be in Minneapolis visiting General Mills to learn about the new Gluten Free Cheerios. If you have questions you want answered just comment below and I will pass them on.
This is a crazy week with both Hubby and I traveling. So MIL is in charge of dinner 2 nights. I’ve stocked the fridge and pantry with easy GF meals that the kids will eat.
Monday: Frozen Gluten Free Pizza
Tuesday: Udi’s Frozen Chicken Alfredo
Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner – pancakes and eggs!
Thursday: Sliced ham, mac n cheese and zucchini fries
Friday: Honey Chicken Skillet
Saturday: Leftovers or dinner out
