Starbucks Gluten Free Breakfast Sandwich

Starbucks now has a certified Gluten Free breakfast sandwich and it’s GOOD.

Game Changer, that is what the new Starbucks breakfast sandwich is. Now we can eat breakfast on the run like everyone else. It is a breakfast sandwich with Canadian bacon, egg and cheese. The sandwich is made in a certified gluten free environment and sealed. In the store the sandwich is warmed inside the bag and served. This eliminates the chance of cross contamination.

Here are the ingredients.

The website does have the lawyer disclaimer of “cannot guarantee” but as long as the sandwich stays in the bag you should be fine. I have read where a couple people were served theirs on a plate outside of the bag, if this happens just ask for another one in the bag.

Since the sandwich is pre-packaged you can’t get it without the cheese so if you can’t have dairy, it is a no-go unfortunately.

The taste is fabulous! I have had at least 4 by now and the Gluten Free kiddos like them too! We actually went through the Starbucks drive thru and took the sandwiches to a pancake restaurant so the GF family members could have something other than eggs and bacon.

They just came out at the end of March so they should be in all US stores soon. Not sure about Canada yet.

If you can find one, I highly recommend you get one and enjoy!
When it comes to actual safe coffee at Starbucks there seems to be lots of debate. I order hot tea or the caramel macchiato. From my research the caramel sauce does not have gluten it in and I have never had issues. Drink what you feel is safe.

These are yummy and reasonably healthy. Sometimes they run out and some stores do not have egg sandwiches at all, so I have learned not to get too attached to having one! If you are looking to add some healthy, gf fat to your meal, the avocado spread makes a nice condiment.
