Celiac and the Beast Book Review

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll spit out your wine as you enjoy Erica Dermer’s fabulous book, Celiac and the Beast!  Erica is a Gluten Free blogger who just wrote her first book!  Notice I said “first” the girl needs to write more books!  The book is subtitled A Love Story Between A Gluten-Free GIrl, Her Genes, And A Broken Digestive Tract.  If you want to read a memoir / Gluten-Free how to guide / fart stories book this is it!

Erica is 110% authentic about what her life has been like struggling with many health issues, life challenges and the process of getting diagnosed with Celiac Disease.   Everyone’s experience with Celiac Disease is different and Erica understands that.  She starts her book with “My Celiac-not yours, but still awesome!”

The book covers fun topics like dating while being Gluten Free, managing family gatherings, eating out and some first timer mistakes.  She covers real challenges Celiacs face like colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, bullying, shopping and finding support.  Erica also gets real when she talks about eating disorders.

I love her authenticity with all that she shares!  As a Celiac I can relate so much to her journey.  Erica’s sassy personality comes out so well in her writing.

I have had the honor of meeting Erica in person and hanging out in Chicago and Las Vegas together.  I’m honored to call her a friend.  She is also a big supporter of my blog and cookbook.

If you want a no holds barred, sassy, fart stories, poop your pants story version of what Celiac Disease is like this is the book for you.  It is a great read!

Please support Erica and check out her book on Amazon.  If you love it as much as I do please write a review about it on Amazon so others will be encouraged to read it too!

Erica also has an awesome line of Gluten Free merchandize that you can find on her blog.  I have two of her shirts that I wear often!

Ok off you go – buy the book šŸ™‚
