Gluten Free and Allergy Friendly Puppy Chow #glutenfree #nutfree #dairyfree @chex @enjoylifefoods @sunbutter

Having one food restriction is a challenge for anyone, but add more restrictions and life just gets harder.   The more people I meet in our Gluten Free community the more I find that many people have multiple foods they have to avoid.  In our household Gluten is the only food problem, but we have a nephew with nut allergies.   This fun, kid-friendly recipe steamed from my desire to make a fun snack all the kids in our family could enjoy.

What You Need:

½ box of Rice Chex cereal – about 6-7 cups
½ cup dairy free chocolate chips – Enjoy Life dark chocolate chips
¼ cup Sunbutter
3 tbsp non dairy Earth Balance butter
½ tsp GF vanilla
1 ½ cup powdered sugar

Gluten Free & Allergy Friendly Puppy
How To Make It:
Pour the cereal in a large bowl.  Pour the powdered sugar into a gallon size plastic bag.  In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chocolate, Sunbutter, Earth Balance and vanilla.  Stir to combine. Once the chocolate sauce is melted pour it on the Chex cereal and gently stir. Pour the coated Chex into the plastic bag with the powdered sugar.  Shake to coat.  Let cool and enjoy or share!

I have taken this to work and it is a big hit with my co-workers!  The kiddos love to help make this recipe and everyone can do something.  The 2 year olds can even shake the bag.

This will be made many times in our house, hopefully I will share some with others!

Enjoy!
