Gluten Free Dinner at Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar

Friday night the kiddos and I went to Greensboro, NC to meet up with Hubby’s mom for dinner.  On a side note, I more than lucked out in the mother-in-law department!  The shopping center we met at has at least four good Gluten Free restaurant options that we frequent, but this day I wanted some pizza.  After a quick google search I found that a Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar was also there and it has an awesome Gluten Free menu.

Great Gluten Free Menu **Watch out for fried items as they use a shared fryer

The restaurant had an atmosphere of a high class casual dining restaurant.   There was a large bar with some awesome looking wine and drinks.  They put us with the three kiddos in the back corner, which was actually good, since we aren’t exactly quiet!

The two reasons I picked this restaurant were the Gluten Free pizza and Gluten Free pasta on the kids menu.  This meant that us adults could eat what we wanted and the kiddos would be happy.

Mom ordered a Gluten-filled pepperoni pizza.  She said it was good, different than typical pizza crust but still good.

The three kids shared a GF cheese pizza and the Macaroni Alfredo.  The kids pizza is the same size as the adult pie, so there was more than enough to go around.  The kids meals come with a drink and they cost $8.00, which is a little steep in my opinion.  The alfredo sauce on the pasta was amazing!  I almost licked it out of the bowl, but since it was a nicer restaurant I used the pizza crust to clean the bowl.

I ordered the Sweet Fennel Sausage pizza.  It was big enough to share and the toppings were super good.  The crust was different from your typical GF crust as it wasn’t cracker thin.  The crust was light and airy.  It reminded me of a flatbread.

I can see us going back to try more items on the menu.  Hubby and I could share a salad and pizza for a fun date night.  The Pizza Bar was getting very busy as we were leaving, so making a reservation or going early would be advised.

Add another safe restaurant to our Gluten Free list!
