Do you like peas? Can you get your kiddos to eat peas? What about your husband/wife? For some reason peas have a bad rap and most people aren’t fans. I remember as a kid having to eat as many peas as I was old with dinner, so 5 peas when I was 5 years old and so on. Now as an adult I enjoy peas and like to use them in fun ways to get the kiddos to eat them. This Gluten Free Chicken Casserole Recipe does the job!
Gluten Free Chicken Pea Casserole
We used to eat a version of this casserole in my Gluten-eating days before we had kiddos. I could eat the whole dish by myself! This recipe is super easy, super fast, and a great one dish meal for your family.
Ingredients
- 12 oz Gluten Free noodles
- 1 cup cooked chicken, cubed or chopped
- 12 oz of Gluten Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 15oz can of peas, could use frozen
- Salt, pepper and paprika to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Cook your GF pasta for 5 minutes and drain.
- While pasta is cooking heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Once pasta is ready, place all the ingredients except the cheese into a casserole dish. Stir to combine.
- Top with cheese
- Bake for 25 minutes
The toddlers loved this dinner. I left Hubby and the toddlers this dish for dinner while I ran errands. When I got back, there was barely a bowl left for me. And to be honest I was planning on having leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Next time I may have to double the recipe.
If you are really against peas, you could always use broccoli or green beans or a combination. I like to use my own recipe for Cream of Mushroom soup but there are store brands that you can find Gluten Free. I have used Progresso and Pacific brands in the past.
Happy cooking and don’t forget to eat your peas!
Enjoy
