Raise your hand if you are ready for September! Yeah, me neither. But I am ready to make Gluten Free dinners this week. As a family of 5 we went grocery shopping on Saturday. These means : A. we bought way too much stuff, B. the kids picked out GF junk food, and C. it took forever! But our fridge and freezer are ready for the week so in the end it all worked out.
We had a good weekend at home. Saturday we played outside, cleaned the house and had dinner guests. I will do a post this week about the awesome dinner we had. Then Sunday was church and baptism at the lake. As a church we make baptism a big party that includes a pot luck. I brought GF corn muffins, mac and cheese, slow cooker BBQ pork, cole slaw, and pie.
Triathlon training kicked my tail last week. I have about 5 weeks left so I’m trying to train 5 days a week and working on doing “bricks”. That means you do 2 of the 3 triathlon elements together like swim then run or bike then run. My body is sore and tired. To help in the recovery I’ve been using Deep Blue Essential Oils from doTerra. It has helped my muscles survive the week and all the miles I’m putting them through. Hoping this week will be a little easier.
