Hey, Gluten Free friends! How was your weekend? Enjoy celebrating Father’s Day with family? We had a blast just being together, going on bike rides, watching movies, and playing games.
This week we have work chaos, church, and kiddos enjoying summer. We are also puppy sitting a 15 month old 110 lbs Great Pyrenees dog. To say she is huge is an understatement. She is taller than the 4 year olds and looks the 7 year old in the face. HUGE! She is however a gentle giant and fabulous with the kids.
This is the final week of our 12 week challenge and we have learned a lot.
Here are some of the lessons we have learned:
- Don’t snack after 9pm especially on junk.
- Make sure your plate is mostly protein and then a balance of vegetables and a good starch.
- Work out as much as you can. The 7 days a week that were part of the Labrada Lean Body Challenge was not possible with work and 3 kids. But 4/5 days a week was doable if I got up early or took a quick run here or there.
- Snack and snack often. Have good snacks on hand so you can have good options to keep you satisfied between meals.
- Meal prep and you will save time and money.
- Some weeks are better than others, it is ok, just keep at it.
- Accountability is key, have someone asking about your progress, it will motivate you.
Results:
- I completed my triathlon and much faster than I expected
- I am down a pants size
- The scale has not changed much but my body shape has, so I will take that as a win
