Need an easy dinner for your Gluten Free family? Try this simple recipe for Cream of Mushroom pork chops.
This recipe was the product of a long day of work, a stocked fridge, and a short window to make dinner. We had pork chops in the fridge and some left over Gluten Free cream of mushroom soup so put them together and viola dinner!
The weather has been great so Hubby was at the park with the kiddos. The goal was to make them tired while I whipped dinner up. It was so nice that we even ate dinner outside.
Cream of Mushroom Pork Chops was crazy easy to make. I was done in under 30 minutes from start to finish.
Gluten Free Cream of Mushroom Pork Chops
To start, heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add in the oil, onions and mushrooms. Sautee them for a few minutes so they can get tender.
Then add in the pork chops. I recommend seasoning both sides with salt and pepper before you place them in the skillet. You could add garlic powder or similar spices if you like.
You want to cook the pork chops on each side for 3-4 minutes so they get a nice brown to them.
In a bowl combine the Gluten Free cream of mushroom soup and milk. Pour the mixture into the skillet and mix in with the pork chops, onions and mushrooms. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let cook for 15 minutes.
While the pork chops were simmering cook some rice. This recipe makes a great sauce/gravy that was perfect over the rice.
