Last week I was in Winston-Salem, NC for a work conference. I had already arranged with the conference to have Gluten Free breakfasts and lunches so I was covered there. Dinner was on by own between classes so I turned to by phone for help. Using a combination of apps I discovered a restaurant called 6th and Vine. It was only one block away from the convention center so it was super convenient.
Since I didn’t want to walk in blind I called the restaurant to see what menu items were Gluten Free. When the hostess listed more than five things I said I was good and would be right over.
It turns out the owner is Gluten Free and tries to make lots of dishes safe. The menu does not designate which items are Gluten Free but the staff was very knowledgeable. They have a huge wine selection and nightly specials. Since I had more classes to go to I opted out of the yummy looking sangria.
I ordered the Pepper Jack Queso Chorizo Nachos. These rocked my world! I ate the whole plate by myself and all but licked the bowl clean!
The white cheese was so flavorful and the guacamole sour cream was dreamy! I considered ordering another plate of nachos to go for after my evening classes.
There are so many items on the menu that looked amazing like the Crab & Artichoke dip (with chips instead of pita), Peach Pork Tenderloin and the Stuffed Portobellos. Next time I’m in Winston-Salem I’m heading back for more 6th and Vine!
Enjoy
