There are certain dishes that are almost a requirement on the holidays. One of those dishes is green bean casserole. As a Gluten Free person this tasty dish is normally off limits, that is unless you make it Gluten Free! This recipe is super easy and a huge crowd pleaser.
This recipe is super easy to throw together while making all of your other holiday dishes. I add bacon to this dish because: 1 I love bacon, like a lot, 2 it adds a nice salty flavor, and 3 it adds some crunch. If you are one of the strange people who does not like bacon, feel free to skip this ingredient.
You can purchase Gluten Free cream of mushroom soup at your local health food store or you can make your own. Think it is hard? Nope! Just use this 5 ingredient recipe!
Ingredients
- 3 cans green beans, drained
- 3 sliced of bacon, cooked and chopped
- 12-16 oz of Gluten Free Cream of Mushroom soup - see my 5 ingredient recipe
- 2 tbsp onion, diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine all ingredients in a greased casserole dish, 9x10 is great.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Top with cheese, GF bread crumbs, GF fried onion straws and bake for 5 minutes.
- Enjoy
I took this recipe to Easter dinner and no one even noticed it was Gluten Free. I call that a win. The leftovers were super tasty heated up the next day too. You could also make this for a dinner party or pot luck.
This dish will make the addition to your Easter/ Thanksgiving/ Christmas table.
